From the recording "Carry On"
This song was written for my best friend, who lost her grandmother during the COVID lockdown. I wrote this song for her as another way of telling her that I'll be there for her, and I will help her get through the pain as she goes through her grief; I'll help her carry on.
I don't know the specific genre for this song, because it seems like it can't be described as just one genre. The first verse and first chorus are soft and more emotional, the second verse and chorus introduce the drums as the instrumentals sound more uplifting than sad, and the bridge up to the end of the song introduces the choir to add this gospel aspect to the song that I absolutely love. I wrote this song in January of 2021, and I'm so happy that it is finally done and ready to be released!
A huge thank you to my family, my vocal coach Marlene Pillow, and my producer Jason Valesio along with his wife Nadia for helping this dream become a reality. I couldn’t have done this without any of you. Thank you! ❤️
